The Bonded Studio Manifesto
For a less lonely world.

We are more reachable than ever.
But not always more connected.
We can send a message in seconds. Match in minutes. Join a room without leaving home. Watch a whole life unfold through a screen. Still, something in us stays hungry.
For eye contact. For better questions. For the courage to begin. For friendship that goes deeper. For love that feels present again. For technology that makes us more human, not less.
Bonded Studio exists for this hunger.
We need better rituals.
Loneliness is not only a personal failure. It is shaped by the tools we use, the rooms we enter, the rituals we lost, and a culture that taught us to perform connection instead of feel it.
What we believe.
01 Connection needs participation
A Bonded experience asks you to choose, answer, pass, listen, or make something. Nobody watches from the edge.
02 Technology returns attention
The product should give you a reason to notice the other person. Screen time is not the win.
03 Mutual choice beats surprise
What is private stays private unless both people decide otherwise. A pass is part of the design.
04 Play lowers the drawbridge
A dare or a ridiculous prompt can make emotional risk possible without making the evening heavy.
05 Not everything needs keeping
We do not archive the whole conversation. Keep the moments you both recognised as worth carrying.
06 Loneliness deserves beauty
Work about disconnection should feel tender, tactile, and alive. Not sterile, clinical, or ashamed.
Bonded Studio is not here to make people scroll longer. It is here to help people come closer.
From contact to closeness.
For a less lonely world.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Bonded Studio believe in?
We believe human connection should feel playful, emotional, physical, and present. We design for better questions, shared laughter, honest answers, mutual choice, and the moments people decide to remember.
Why did Bonded Studio start?
Bonded Studio grew from years of interactive art and research into attention, behavior, memory, haptics, and participation. The studio began with a reversal: instead of only showing how technology can separate us, could we build technology that helps people become more present with each other?
What does Bonded Studio create?
We create apps, connection games, question decks, physical products, media, stories, events, and immersive experiences. The Bonded app and The Closeness Deck are two ways to enter the wider world.
Does Bonded Studio claim to solve loneliness?
No. Bonded is not therapy or a treatment for loneliness. We create playful, consent-aware rituals that may make it easier for people to begin a conversation, share attention, and create moments of closeness.
