Our story

We turned disconnection into an invitation.

Bonded Studio grew from years of art, technology, memory, and human behavior into one practical question: could a designed world give people a reason to come closer—not just another reason to look at a screen?

Questions are doors.

The project that came first

Nostalgie World

A personal artistic world about mental health, identity, memory, technology, and belonging.

The systems kept pointing back to people.

The origin

From representing disconnection to redesigning the moment.

1

A personal world became a shared question.

Bonded Studio is the evolution of Nostalgie World. Panic attacks informed the project’s beginning, but the work was never treatment. It was a way to explore mental health, identity, memory, technology, and belonging without flattening any of them into a single image.

2

The systems kept pointing back to people.

Years of interactive art, generative systems, participation, haptics, behavior, and storytelling exposed the same tension: modern life gives us endless ways to contact people, but fewer rituals for actually meeting them.

The artwork could expose a system. Bonded would build a different one.

3

The research became something people could use.

Bonded is the applied chapter: apps, games, physical objects, media, and shared experiences that make closeness easier to attempt. Not guaranteed. Not extracted. Invited. A question is lighter than a manifesto—and much easier to bring to dinner.

The central tension

More contact.
Less ritual.

We can match, message, react, follow, and watch. Bonded lives in the space between contact and a memory made together.

The familiar state

Contact

You are connected on paper. The channel exists. The shared moment does not—yet.

The beginning

Invitation

A question, card, link, flower, or ridiculous little dare creates a reason to begin.

The choice

Participation

Answer, pass, listen, signal, move, touch, or make. Nobody is left watching from the edge.

The recognition

Resonance

Something lands for both people. Not necessarily agreement—just the feeling that it mattered here.

The keeping

Memory

The people who made the moment decide what is worth carrying forward.

A world taking shape

Everyone’s invited to the park.

Our shared world feels like common ground: public but gentle, social but unforced, full of parallel ways to belong. Technology creates the moment, then gives the room back.

The laws of the Bonded world

Six rules for building a warmer system.

1

Connection requires participation.

A Bonded experience asks people to choose, answer, pass, signal, listen, move, touch, or make.

2

Technology returns attention.

The product should create a reason to notice another person, the room, or a shared beat. Screen time is not the win.

3

Mutual choice outranks surprise.

Private signals stay private unless both people choose otherwise. A pass is part of the experience.

4

Play lowers the drawbridge.

A dare, character, or ridiculous prompt can make emotional risk possible without making the moment heavy.

5

What resonates can become memory.

We do not need to archive everything. Keep the moments both people recognize as worth carrying.

6

Loneliness deserves beauty.

Work about disconnection should feel tender, tactile, colorful, and alive—not sterile, diagnostic, or ashamed.

Artifacts from the same world

Different forms. The same invitation.

Every Bonded product should help people begin, deepen, embody, or remember a connection.

The Bonded app

A phone becomes a shared social object: invite, choose, answer, signal, reveal, remember.

The Closeness Deck

Questions made physical—a portable ritual for tables, blankets, dates, friendships, and long drives.

The Library

Free questions, games, dares, essays, and practical ways to make a better moment together.

Installations and stories

Movement, light, sound, haptics, film, comics, and music turn audiences into participants.

Objects for everyday rituals

Tokens, flowers, printed matter, lamps, and soft objects should cause, mark, or remember an interaction.

The long arc

A product can become a cultural universe without losing its center.

The world can grow in many directions. It just cannot wander off and become a charming stranger wearing our logo.

First

Questions

Open a door without pushing anyone through it.

Then

Games

Make participation feel easier, lighter, and shared.

Repeated

Rituals

Turn one good moment into something people can return to.

Held

Objects

Carry the invitation into tables, rooms, and everyday life.

Embodied

Characters

Give different social rhythms a face and a place to belong.

Shared

Stories

Show connection happening instead of only explaining it.

Entered

Spaces

Let bodies, sound, light, and movement make the Park physical.

Together

Community

Give the people inside the world a hand in shaping what comes next.

A new idea belongs in Bonded if it helps people do at least one of four things:

Begin a connection

Deepen a connection

Embody a connection

Remember a connection

The First Circle

The world is still being built. Come shape what happens next.
